One Race is Accepted it will be Posted for others to also choose from this race a character to create.
No last man standings. witch means your character is the last of his or her race do to war or plague, its silly and cliche.
You can have Females are more rare then females, or breading takes along time so their are few in population and stuff,
use imagination.

The Ur'Nu
1. General information a. Skin colors range from pale to dark green. This depends on where the respective member of the species grew up in relation to sun-exposure. The lighter the green, the more sun was received as not many cells were required to harvest solar energy. Conversely, dark green would mean that the member lived far from the sun and required as many skin cells as possible to absorb the required amount of sunlight. b. After the growth and development stages, the amount of surface exposure to the sun becomes irrelevant though it has been noted that those with more green in bright environments tend to have an increase in energy. Thus, they are perfect for long-distance traverses through extremely bright environments as well as are perfect for hard labor on starships and in space where direct exposure to sunlight will be readily available. 2. Nutrition and basic functional biology: a. Sunlight is paramount to the growth and subsistence of a Ur’Nu, much like humans. Though, unlike humans, Ur’Nu are able to more readily use the solar energy to increase metabolic rates within their biology. b. Because of this increase in metabolism, Ur’Nu are known to be constantly hungry so eat quite often. Their basic diet consists of insects on their native world as well as fruits from the plants that they live within. c. Because of their plantlike nature, Ur’Nu are also able to readily gather nutrients from the soil by burrowing their toes into the ground. The toes are actually roots that can actively increase in length if necessary to access nutrients found deeper in soils. d. Much like Terran-based life forms, Ur’Nu and their fellow creatures on their plant depend on dihydrogen monoxide (H2O) for maintenance of liquid. 3. Genesis a. Ur’Nu, as these plantlike creatures call themselves, come from a planet covered in thick, luscious jungles that would be a prime location for resource harvesting by us humans. The planet has large oceans around the continents though coverage of land and water seem to be equal. This creates a very humid environment thanks to its energetic star that allows for the planet to remain warm at all times. Were it not for the fact that the hazards of the planet prove to be far too dangerous to be worth the risk, this planet would already be stripped bare. The race is primitive yet advanced to a point. Ur’Nu do not actively strip entire plots of land of their natural elements to create artificial structures but instead use the natural plant life as their homes. Trees on the surface of the planet average at around two to three kilometers tall. Smaller plants survive in the shadow of these gargantuan growths though even some of the smaller plants could be as large as vehicles. The planet’s natural inhabitants aside from the Ur’Nu are predominantly invertebrates with extremely hard exoskeletons. These insects range from the size of a Terran mite to massive bulldozing beetles that could easily demolish a Terran tank. The creatures are omnivorous by food selection and eat anything from plants to other insects. The creatures are mostly very territorial but have their variations of aggressive and passive species. b. One peculiar notion that human scientists have noted is that the plants all seem to have basic level of sentience. The plants have nervous systems with entire nodes built inside the hardened cores that serve as nerve clusters for basic level thought processing. The plants are also capable of rudimentary motor controls with some plants noted as capable of devouring predators that would otherwise have devoured it in turn. Human scientists believe that this is how the Ur’Nu came to be through strange evolutionary processes. c. It is believed that the original organic creatures that evolved on the planet evolved into plantlike species with synaptic fibers for the primitive nervous systems that were present in such primordial animals. Because of this, the organic material began to evolve into plants with synaptic fibers. Eventually, these synaptic fibers formed nerve clusters similar to the ones found in current plants though on a much smaller scale. d. Further down the line, it was believed that the plants began to have more and more motor controls through overdeveloped cells similar to muscle cells of the primordial creatures that caused such plants to grow. Because of this, plants were able to move more readily and are able to more actively stimulate the pistil and stamen. While many plants were afforded a degree of movement, it wasn’t until the sentience of the plants evolved in highly concentrated clusters of synaptic fibers. During these times, the plants began to actively move more and more. e. Some plants were found to be content with being stationary, but one particular type of plant was more fond of movement. These became the first and most primitive of the Ur’Nu. While movement was very restricted in human terms, these plants were able to move multiple meters in a matter of a few minutes through use of root crawling: Pulling one shortened and stubbed root out at a time and reinserting it into the ground at a different location. Modern plants make active use of root crawling for the purpose of sustenance. Plants are known to change location in small areas in order to achieve a maximum amount of nutrients from the soil around as well as receive as much sunlight as possible. f. Eventually, these primitives developed into more efficient bipedal creatures that were capable of traveling tremendous distances quickly compared to their ancient cousins. These new Ur’Nu also developed into two different genders. This need grew when the ancient Ur’Nu were becoming more and more isolated from one another. While self-stimulation of the stamen and the pistil was possible, it was not near as productive as it would’ve been when two plants were able to bond together. Similar to the worms of Earth, these hermaphroditic plants began to seek one another out in order to have the required stimulation. Each subsequent generation, however, began to become more and more specialized in the female and the male roles until males and females became two separate entities. 4. Basic Biology and Anatomy a. The average Ur’Nu, unlike their much more massive brethren that were the plants and trees that they lived in and around, are shorter than the height of an average human. In this case, Ur’Nu are more humanoid at first glance save for the skin tones and facial structures. i. Average Males: 165cm ii. Average Females: 157cm b. While it is normally considered that rapid metabolic rates are associated with short life spans, Ur’Nu live for a surprisingly long span. Because of their constant nourishment from the soils in which they thrive in and from the sun that they rely on, these plant people are more than capable of sustaining cellular division and health at far more efficient rates than humans. c. Ur’Nu have four lungs in total with each pair specialized to a certain gas. The planet in which the Ur’Nu originate from has an oxygen-nitrogen atmosphere thus the creatures breathe oxygen. Much like their stationary cousins, though, the Ur’Nu also produce oxygen through photosynthesis by using carbon dioxide. Thus one pair takes in oxygen and produces carbon dioxide while the other takes in carbon dioxide and produces oxygen. Some human scientists have hypothesized that these creatures could live in a hermetically sealed environment and live off of their own naturally produced gasses so long as proper nutrition and sunlight is provided. d. Much like all living creatures, the Ur’Nu must sleep. However, they sleep in the way of the ancients, by standing. With their roots firmly imbedded into the ground, the outer layer of skin is able to harden to create a sort of bark-like cover. This allows for the Ur’Nu to remain entirely motionless while asleep and allows for natural protection against less-dangerous creatures such as smaller, more annoying insects. However, this “bark” is not capable of protecting an Ur’Nu from weapons. Still, they are able to survive a substantial amount of impacts before breaking. 5. Technology a. While the Ur’Nu still live in and around trees and still worship strange plantlike and animalistic deities, they do have a degree of technology. The Ur’Nu have developed manufacturing centers that are more centered around the manipulation of plant life. In these manufacturing centers, the Ur’Nu have been able to create a foam-like material that has the same consistency as soil but hold far more nutrients than the same volume of natural soil would. b. Ur’Nu also have developed a sort of gelatin based on tree-sap that gives more moisture and hydration than normal water. This allows for the Ur’Nu to cover vast distances without worrying about water supplies as a single ounce of the super- saturated gel is equivalent to one cup of pure water. c. Ur’Nu have also been able to mine, process, and manipulate heavy elements to form more solid transports than wooden ones though these are almost exclusively done in large tracts of land that are bare of trees. Because of the world-wide forest, however, these naturally occurring clearings are rare to come by and are mostly found in deep continental interiors where the humidity is lower than average thus causing for less plant growth. d. Ur’Nu do not have actual power plants to provide electricity or any sort of power. Their main source of heat for the manipulation of metal is thus fire through use of burning dead wood. e. Ur’Nu have no firearms based on chemical-propellants but instead rely on spears and bows for ranged defense. Close range defense is more centered around hand- to-hand and weapons similar to daggers. They do, however, have a peculiar device that straps around the mouth of an Ur’Nu and, through the amplification of sound come out of an Ur’Nu’s voice box, are capable of destroying large pieces of rock, earth, dead wood, and could very likely be used as sonic weapons. f. Ur’Nu have no spaceflight capabilities but are very skilled at reading star-charts regardless due to their constant study of the skies. 6. Beliefs/Religion a. The Ur’Nu are very naturalistic in their view and approach. This is hardened even more as they are easily capable of communicating with other species simply through touch. Each plant and animal species on the planet has evolved with heavy growth of synaptic fibers and allows for transmissions of messages on a non-vocal level through touch. This has also allowed for the shared and stored memory of animals and plants into naturally occurring growths of nerve clusters that are as large as one of the trees. This creatures a sense of love and preservation for the Ur’Nu as all memories will forever be stored in these massive nerve clusters until they are destroyed. b. Because of this understanding of their ways, the Ur’Nu avoid heavy industry as it can and will cause damage to the plant life. The manufacturing centers are always a constant topic for debate and discussion. While dead trees are indeed used to fuel the furnaces and no life trees are destroyed, the amount of local pollution has been known to be damaging. While the carbon dioxide output is easily counterbalanced by the amount of oxygen output, it is still a sensitive area and most Ur’Nu speak little of it. The metal that the tree-cities receive are received silent and without thanks. These manufacturing centers also take the highest amount of care of the life around them in order to maintain a balance. c. Also, because of the lack of heavy industry, the Ur’Nu do not have any forms of atmospheric and space flight. The need for heavy minerals, cleared fields, and processing of chemicals is considered to cause too much damage to forests that it could easily destroy the Ur’Nu and their way of life. Especially if one of the nodes were destroyed.
